i agree, the tutorials are easy to follow. I recorded my first vocal track by following the lessons, before i even knew how to get into the devices or folders.

however, some people are more visual/experiential learners (especially those with ADD or similar learning challenges). I am this way myself, and have felt very daunted by the task of learning how to do everything i want to do by clicking and reading the lessons. Watching someone else rock out in Ableton is really inspiring and memorable and you can always refer back to the tutorials if you can't remember the exact sequence of actions. For this reason, a workshop would be very helpful and i'm sad that i missed the one that Evan helped to teach last year in Portland.

I am making moves right now to pull a workshop together in Seattle and if it comes together and there is interest, we will bring it down to Portland soon afterward. I am looking for 2-3 teachers in the Seattle area to lead a workshop for 5-10 people, so if you are local to Seattle, please send me a message. I want to get this going in the next month because i'm anxious to really dig into this program myself.

Live is easy guys.

For real, the more you dig in the more you find.

There should have been lessons and tutorials that came with live.

Just go to help>lessons.

Or if youre feeling adventurous, take my route and just open it up and try to do stuff.

I dont know what version you are running but find yourself a sample bank and build a drum rack and a beat.

If you have the suite open up a synth and see what you can accomplish.

Compared to all of the products Ive tried Ableton has the most intuitive workflow capabilities with auto everything that will help you along the way.

Just open er up and get moving.
