i chopped up and rearranged a drum solo that panned the drummer to the left. is there any way i could convert the track into mono so that the drums stay in the center? thanks

Wed, May 2, 2007 - 9:57 AMI think if you just render to disk you'll get that-you get a 'mono' option. Any reason you can't just pan it over in the same channel or a send? I'm not sure I understand the issue...

Tue, May 15, 2007 - 9:23 AMBetter yet, use the UTILITY audio plug in to make it mono there. Works great.... select the L or R only, or both channels. -

Fri, August 22, 2008 - 11:18 AMSame here. Render the thing...so simple, but elusive. The part that sucks is then having to warp it on loading again. I assume it's pretty easy if you don't change the tempo though. -

Fri, August 22, 2008 - 2:09 PMWell, there is a way to make the channel play only line 1 (left) or line 2 (right) if I recall. I'll have to investigate that further, but I think it's in the I/O panel . -

Tue, August 26, 2008 - 3:35 PMA ha!!! Unlink your output bussing..... There is a link button, in the bussing tab... after that is unlinked, you can record mono tracks all day in Live.... Voila! To return to stereo recording, just reselect the link button. -

Wed, September 3, 2008 - 2:34 PMFuck that... I was using Live 2.0 on my old Titanium at the time I tried that. I am still mad about the lack of Mono resampling support... Although the added feature of bouncing multiple tracks at once is great.
...Although that doesn't come in handy when trying to export 25 sounds out of Battery... All on the same track....
Multiple outs in Battery I suppose... although I've never had any luck with that.
