I've been using Live 7 now for a few weeks having upgraded from 6 - and maybe it's just me but I'm curious if anyone else is having a similar problem...
it sounds like the audio engine is having a hard time keeping up - it's not latency, but sounds more like there's a tempo slip and the track is slowing down...I never had this problem with 6 and am curious if it is some dithering algorithm or what? I haven't even pushed the processor power over 25% since I upgraded (have a MacBook with Intel DuoCore and 2GB of RAM so I shouldn't have any problems there)...
is anyone else noticing this or am I just on crack?
it's doing this when working on original trax as well as when DJing trax. I'll be damned if I can figure out what the hell is causing it...

Tue, January 15, 2008 - 12:03 PMoverall 7 is the shit - and i've only noticed this on a couple trax. but it has me worried cuz it feels like a severe energy drop in the track when it gets to a rocking part and then the weirdness happens - and i know it isn't processing since there is only a couple fx chains on 2 of the 16 or 18 channels in the project - and the CPU meter doesn't jump above 25% or freak out.
perhaps it's a dynamics issue and something is getting squished, but it really sounds more like a lag in tempo.

I have friends that have had weird problems with their fire wire interface, that caused all kinds of weird issues.

Maybe you've got a misbehavin midi controller mapped to the BPM.
I had A similiar problem with a Pitch-bend wheel.
